Color Guard Firefighters

MESSAGE FROM THE CHIEF

The ChiefWelcome to our website. I hope you will find it useful and informative. In many ways, this website mirrors the transformation of our department into the model of a modern, efficient and prepared 21st century fire department. We have made great strides in the delivery of service, recruitment and training, the use of information technology and developing the Homeland Security resources necessary to protect and respond in the post 9–11 world.

In these pages you will find the station, apparatus, and equipment used by the men and women of the Fuller Road Fire Department to provide the highest level of service possible to the citizens, businesses, institutions, and visitors of the Town of Colonie. Our firefighters and Emergency Medical Technicians are dedicated to protecting your lives, property, and well being. I am proud to be associated with this outstanding group of professionals.

The Fuller Road Fire Department is a team-oriented organization that strives to do whatever we can to prevent fire, emergency medical, and related tragedies, efficiently mitigate incidents when they happen, and help those involved recover after an event is over. Our department consists of a highly dedicated group of volunteer personnel made up of men and women who annually handle over 1,000 calls for service.

Our Fire Department consists of one Fire Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, a House Captain, Truck Captain, Rescue Captain and 4 Lieutenants. There are up to 100 volunteer firefighters, including Safety officers, Fire Police and Emergency Medical Technicians.

I hope this site introduces you to who we are and what we do. Our mission is to protect the most important lives and property in the Town of Colonie … Yours. The Fuller Road Fire Department is YOUR department. I hope that you are as proud of it as I am.
